The Chair called the meeting to order and welcomed TAC members.
Market trends
Share trends and emerging issues in the mortgage industry and impact to consumers.
Plan to strengthen protection of vulnerable consumers in FSRA’s sectors
Presented a high-level overview of FSRA’s recommended approach to strengthen protection of vulnerable consumers, and to obtain preliminary feedback from TAC members.
Use of artificial intelligence in the mortgage industry
Discussed the extent of use of technology/AI by the sector, and to discuss risks and opportunities.
Quantitative indicators for licensed individuals at risk of misconduct
Discussed the indicators FSRA can collect to identify individuals/firms most prone to misconduct or facilitating mortgage or title fraud.
Roundtable
Presented and discussed our supervision plan for 2023/2024 and the MB newsletter.
Solicited comments/feedback from PMC and Challenge Exam.
Next meeting
The next meeting of the committee will be scheduled for Thursday November 23, 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00 pm.
