How to get a copy of your licence
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) does not provide paper or PDF copies of mortgage broker licences. For confirmation of your licence status, please use our public registry.
How to get a copy of your receipts
All payment confirmations of fees are sent to your Principal Broker, who can provide you with copies as needed.
How to request a Letter of History/Reciprocity Letter
If you are a mortgage broker licensed in Ontario and wish to apply for a licence in another Canadian jurisdiction, you may need to provide an official record of your licensing and enforcement history to the regulator of the other province/territory.
Upon your request, FSRA will send a Reciprocity Letter to the regulator of the other jurisdiction, providing your licensing and enforcement history. Please note that Reciprocity Letters are sent directly to regulators; you will not receive a copy.
You may also request a Letter of History, which details your licence history only. A Letter of History, which is sent directly to you, can be used for purposes such as seeking employment at and/or transfer to another organization.
To request either of these letters, please complete this request form and use the Online Services Portal to submit and pay online. Make sure you are using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari when accessing the portal.
The fee for each letter is $25. Please allow us 10 business days to process your request.
