Draft Materials

FSRA presented two draft documents for feedback:

• a document for members and their spouses, which provides a practical overview of the process of valuing and dividing a member’s pension on marriage breakdown; and
• a technical guide for plan administrators and specialists in marriage breakdown matters

The Committee discussed whether the information provided was at the right level for the intended audience, and whether the documents addressed the relevant issues. The Committee also considered if any additional content or materials would be helpful.

Next Steps

The final meeting of the Committee is scheduled for November 26, 2020, to discuss updates to the draft guidance documents described above.
