To start an application for the registration of a Pension Plan Amendment: 

  1. Log into the PSP.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select ‘Applications’.
  3. On the ‘Application Record’ page, click on ‘New Application’.
  4. On the ‘Application Profile’ page, select the application type ‘Amendment’ and complete all information requested on this page.
  5. Click on ‘Start’.

Add amendment details

  1. On the ‘Application Workspace’ page, click on ‘Add Amendment Detail’ in the ‘Actions’ window.
  2. On the ‘Application for Registration of a Pension Plan Amendment’ page, complete all information requested on this page.
  3. Click on ‘Save and Close’.

Repeat the ‘Add Amendment Details’ process (Steps 6 - 8) for each additional change that is included in the amendment. This includes changes that are occurring on different effective dates, as well as multiple changes that are occurring on the same effective date.


Attach documents

  1. On the ‘Application Workspace’ page, click on ‘Attach Document’ in the ‘Actions’ window.
  2. On the ‘Attach Document’ page, select the document type from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on ‘Browse’ and select the PDF file you wish to submit. The PDF file size must be less than 15MB.
  4. Click on ‘Save and Close’ to complete the upload process.

Repeat the ‘Attach Documents’ process (Steps 9 – 12) for each document that is required for this amendment. 


Certify and submit

  1. On the ‘Application Workspace’ page, click on the ‘Submit’ button in the ‘Actions’ window.
  2. On the ‘Submit Application’ page, select the certification checkbox and applicable checkboxes for the jurisdiction(s). Click on ‘Certify & Submit’ to complete the certification and submission process. You will be returned to the ‘Application Workspace’ page.

What to expect after submission:

  • You will receive an automatic email that acknowledges your application was received by FSRA; and
  • If additional information is required, you will receive a notification email. Otherwise, you will be notified by email when FSRA’s review is complete

To view and/or print a Notice of Registration of Amendment:

  1. Log into the PSP.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select ‘Applications’.
  3. On the ‘Application Record’ page, select the:
    plan number
    application type ‘Amendment’; and
    status ‘Approved’ from the drop down menu
  4. Click on ‘Open Workspace’ in the ‘Actions’ column.
  5. On the ‘Application Workspace’ page, click on the file in the ‘Correspondence’ box.
  6. Click on ‘Open’ in the dialog box to view the Notice of Registration of Amendment.
  7. Click on the printer icon to print the Notice of Registration of Amendment.
