Overview
All licensed mortgage brokerages and mortgage administrators must file an Annual Information Return (AIR) by March 31 each year under Ontario Regulation 193/08 and the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006.
Through the AIR, FSRA collects information about business practices, internal controls and market conditions to support risk-based supervision and oversight of the mortgage brokering sector.
The AIR may be completed by the principal broker, principal representative or an authorized designate. However, the AIR must be reviewed and submitted by the principal broker or principal representative.
