Have questions about FSRA’s proposed L&H MGA Rule and a related Fee Rule amendment? Join us
Life and health insurers and managing general agents (MGAs) are invited to FSRA’s webinar on the proposed MGA Rule and a related Fee Rule amendment, both open now for consultation until November 19 and December 19 respectively.
The proposed MGA Rule would strengthen oversight and further protect consumers by helping to correct troubling practices in the sector, like inadequate agent screening, training and monitoring. It would also help to ensure agents treat consumers fairly and are well-trained and properly supervised across the sector. The rule was updated based on stakeholder feedback received during the first consultation.
The proposed amendment to the Fee Rule introduces an application fee for an L&H MGA licence.
Join Tim Miflin, Director (A) of Policy; Andrea Foy, Senior Manager of Policy; and Yovanka McBean, Director of Licensing to learn more about how the updated MGA Rule would clarify compliance requirements and minimize regulatory burden with a tiered approach that differentiates obligations.
Speakers will provide an overview of the proposed changes and explain how to share feedback.
The webinar will be recorded and posted to FSRA’s website along with the presentation deck and Q&As.
