FSRA seeks new members to join Stakeholder Advisory Committees

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is committed to working with stakeholders to ensure diverse perspectives help inform its regulatory direction. To support this commitment, FSRA is seeking new members to serve a one-year term on its Stakeholder Advisory Committees, beginning in fall 2026.

“As FSRA continues to grow as a principles-based regulator, we welcome new perspectives to help strengthen our work and better protect consumers,” said Dexter John, Chief Executive Officer. “Our Stakeholder Advisory Committees provide valuable expertise that helps inform our regulatory approach. We encourage interested candidates to apply and contribute to the future of financial services regulation in Ontario.”

FSRA is recruiting members for the following Stakeholder Advisory Committees (SACs):

Changes to committees

This year, FSRA consolidated its Auto Insurance and non-auto Property and Casualty SACs into a single Property and Casualty Insurance SAC. This change aligns with the establishment of FSRA’s Property and Casualty (P&C) division to enhance oversight, coordination, and accountability in Ontario’s P&C insurance sector. Additionally, all upcoming committees will serve one-year terms instead of two-year terms.

How to apply

Interested candidates are invited to send their resume and cover letter to [email protected] no later than October 5, 2026.

Before applying, interested parties are encouraged to review the updated Terms of Reference on FSRA's website for more information on each committee's mandate and selection criteria.

Eligible applicants should hold senior positions within their respective organizations or professions and demonstrate a commitment to serving the public interest above personal and professional interests.

Other committees

FSRA also has a Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP). Two new members were announced in May and are serving two-year terms.
