FSRA issues notice of proposal against Mckasey Samuel Cadore

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has initiated enforcement action against Mckasey Samuel Cadore (Cadore).

FSRA alleges that Cadore is not suitable under the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.I.8, as amended because he has demonstrated incompetence or untrustworthiness to transact insurance agency business, by knowingly submitting false claims to Sun Life for services that he did not receive and accepting reimbursement that he failed to repay despite agreeing to do so.

FSRA also alleges that Cadore made a material misstatement or omission in his application for a licence.

FSRA is proposing to refuse to renew the life insurance and accident and sickness agent licence issued to Cadore.

Cadore requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal about this proposal.
