FSRA issues notice of proposal against Jason A N Singh

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has initiated enforcement action against Jason A N Singh (Singh).

FSRA alleges that Singh gave false and deceptive information and documents when dealing in mortgages, contrary to section 43(2) of the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, c. 29, as amended (Act).

FSRA also alleges that Singh gave FSRA false or misleading information, contrary to section 45(1) of the Act.

FSRA is proposing to refuse to renew the mortgage agent licence issued to Singh and to impose administrative penalties in the amount of $50,000.

Singh requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal about this proposal.
