Canada Post service disruption

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) expects all regulated entities and individuals to take steps to ensure consumers, pension plan beneficiaries, credit union members and any other person whom they must communicate with are treated fairly during the Canada Post service disruption.  Canada Post employees have been off the job since September 25, 2025. Those who communicate using registered or regular mail should ensure they satisfy their statutory obligations by using alternate methods of delivery, as listed under the relevant statutory provisions, until Canada Post operations return to normal.

FSRA has revised our processes during this period, and we will be communicating using alternative forms of delivery.

Please contact your relationship manager or the FSRA Contact Centre if you have any questions or concerns. Pension-related inquiries should be directed to [email protected].

Canada Post has noted the following impacts of the service disruption:

  • Mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered.
  • Service guarantees will be impacted for items already in the postal network.
  • No new items will be accepted until the national disruption is over.
  • Once operations resume, processing and delivery may take some time to fully return to normal.
