Putting a consumer lens on FSRA policy and oversight activities

The Consumer Advisory Panel was established to bring consumer perspectives to the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). The 13-member Panel is supported by FSRA’s Consumer Office. The Panel helps ensure that consumers, members and beneficiary perspectives inform FSRA’s policy and oversight activities.

On September 20, the Consumer Advisory Panel met for its third meeting in 2022. The Panel provided input and/or was updated on several of FSRA’s priorities, such as its:

  • 2023-2024 Statement of Priorities
  • five consumer education campaigns planned for 2022/2023
  • 2022/2023 Exchange Event
  • vulnerable consumer working group
