FSRA continues to focus on improving Consumer Protection and Confidence in Ontario’s changing financial environment

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is releasing its 2023-2026 Annual Business Plan (ABP) which continues to focus on people, technology, and processes to achieve regulatory excellence.

The deliverables set out in this three-year plan will enable FSRA to better address emerging risks, build supervisory capacity, support innovation, and better protect and educate consumers.

This plan builds on the progress FSRA has made to meet the demands of the fast-paced financial environment, which includes adopting a principles-based, outcomes-focused approach and sector-specific supervisory plans.

The Minister of Finance approved the ABP on April 12, 2023. The plan addresses the expectations in the Minister’s mandate letter.

In October 2022, FSRA consulted on the 2023-24 Statement of Priorities and Budget for transparency. FSRA incorporated the feedback into the final ABP.
