| 11:15 am – 12:00 pm | Session 3: Shaping the future of pension regulation and ask anythingThis session brings together leaders from Ontario’s pension regulator to create an open, transparent and collaborative opportunity for pension stakeholders to ask FSRA direct questions. The goal is to encourage discussion, support knowledge-sharing and give the sector an opportunity to hear the regulator’s perspective.
The FSRA Pensions Team is responsible for the oversight, supervision, and strategic advancement of Ontario’s pension sector.
Led by the EVP, Pensions, the team brings together operational, actuarial, supervisory, and strategic expertise to support a wide range of pension plans. Their work ensures pension plans are well-governed, financially sound, and transparent, protecting member benefits and fostering confidence in the system. Through collaboration with plan administrators, sector stakeholders, and advisory committees, the team drives improvement, addresses emerging risks, and promotes best practices. They oversee initiatives that enhance governance standards, improve funding adequacy, and support long-term sustainability of pension plans. These efforts help maintain stability in the sector while safeguarding the interests of pension plan members and reinforcing trust in Ontario’s pension framework.
