FSRA welcomes Auto Insurance experts for new Technical Advisory Committee
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is pleased to announce the new members of its Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the regulation of Auto Insurance Rates and Underwriting.
The committee will provide strategic and technical input to support the implementation of FSRA’s new supervisory model. This work supports a more principles-based, risk-based, and outcomes-focused approach to regulation, aligned with FSRA’s Auto Rates and Underwriting Regulation Strategy and commitment to fair consumer outcomes.
The members are:

- Tyler Kroetsch, Vice President, Ontario Mutuals Automobile Plan (OMAP), Farm Mutual Re
- Hugues Laquerre, VP Personal Lines (Home and Auto) Pricing, Co-operators
- Edward Chun Ming Lam, VP, Personal Insurance Pricing, Definity
- Sherene Hariprasad, Product Management, CAA
- Queenie Tsang, Associate Vice President, GI Pricing and Profitability, TD
- Brian Choi, Vice President, Personal Lines Actuarial - Direct Distribution, Intact
- Laura Homanchuk, Director, Product & Pricing, Gore Mutual
- Michael Wang, Senior Vice-President, Personal Insurance Pricing and Data Science, Aviva Canada
- Kathryn Sinclair, President & CEO, Centre for the Study of Insurance Operations
- Sajjad Ahmad, Director, Auto Pricing, Underwriting and Product, Wawanesa Insurance
Members were selected through a public call for applications based on their leadership experience and deep subject-matter expertise.
The committee is expected to complete its mandate on or before December 31, 2027.
