FSRA imposes an administrative penalty against Chintankumar Narendra Thakkar

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has imposed an administrative penalty against Chintankumar Narendra Thakkar (Thakkar).

Thakkar acted as an insurance agent by transmitting insurance applications to an Insurer and charging a fee for this service while not being licensed, contrary to section 392.2(6) of the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.I.8 and section 2(1) of Ontario Regulation 347/04.

FSRA issued this order as a result of a settlement with Thakkar.
