FSRA appoints Paul Martiniello as Executive Vice-President, Pensions
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Martiniello as Executive Vice-President, Pensions.
Paul brings more than two decades of experience working with pension plans in Canada and internationally. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in risk management, investment management, and pension operations, developing deep expertise across the pension sector.
Since joining FSRA, Paul has served as Head of Prudential Supervision for Single-Employer and Multi-Employer Pension Plans, providing strategic leadership in relationship management and regulatory initiatives that strengthen the prudential oversight of Ontario's pension sector. His work has directly supported FSRA's mandate to promote the good administration of pension plans and protect the benefits and rights of pension plan beneficiaries.
"Paul's appointment reflects both the strength of his leadership and the depth of talent within FSRA," said Dexter John, Chief Executive Officer. "His knowledge of our organization, our mandate, and Ontario's pension sector will be invaluable as he assumes this important leadership role."
Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an International MBA in Finance, the Chartered Investment Manager designation, and additional credentials in pension law, financial services regulation, and pension plan administration. He is also an active community volunteer, serving as an adaptive skiing instructor and mentoring young people through youth sports coaching.
Paul will assume his new role in September and join FSRA's Executive Leadership Team.
