Consumers Beware: Final Expense Ontario Corporation, Hussain Ali Khan Mir et al. are not licensed to conduct insurance business in Ontario

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario, FSRA, is warning consumers that Final Expense Ontario, Final Expense Protection Ontario Corporation1, Final Expense Ontario Insurance Broker (“Final Expense”), and Hussain Ali Khan Mir, also known as Zeeshan Mir, (“Mir”) are not licensed to conduct insurance business in Ontario.

Final Expense is reportedly soliciting life and health insurance by contacting consumers by phone, email and/or their website. They are also reportedly contacting licensed agents to solicit business.

We advise consumers and insurance agents not to obtain or deal in any insurance products from or arranged through Final Expense, Mir, or any individuals representing these parties. There may be significant risks associated with doing so.

Consumers who purchase insurance from individuals or entities that are not licensed as agents or insurers in Ontario may not be protected under the Insurance Act and the regulations that govern Ontario's licensed insurance companies and agents.
