Chief Human Resources Officer

Julie Giraldi is an accomplished human resources executive and business leader with more than 25 years of experience leading people, culture and organizational transformation initiatives across the pension, healthcare and transportation sectors. Throughout her career, she has worked with boards, executive teams and stakeholders to advance business strategy, strengthen organizational performance and build high-performing workplace cultures.

Julie is recognized for her leadership in organizational transformation, culture development, talent strategy and governance. She has led complex change initiatives, supported organizational growth and innovation, and helped organizations build strong leadership capability and workforce resilience. She is also a passionate mentor and advocate for developing future leaders and human resources professionals.

Most recently, Julie served as Chief Human Resources Officer at CAAT Pension Plan, where she was responsible for people strategy, leadership development, talent management, total rewards and employee communications. During her tenure, she helped guide the organization through a period of significant growth and transformation while strengthening its reputation as an employer of choice. She departed CAAT Pension Plan in the summer of 2025.

Prior to joining CAAT Pension Plan, Julie held senior leadership positions at OMERS, the Ontario Hospital Association, eHealth Ontario and the Toronto Transit Commission. She has also contributed to several boards and advisory bodies, including service as a Trustee of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), a Director of the National Diabetes Trust, and an advisor to Diabetes Canada. She currently serves on the Board of Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. She is a Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
