Your 2023 FSRA Auto Attestation is here!
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) requires all licensed insurance companies in Ontario writing auto insurance to complete the Annual Auto Insurance Attestation. FSRA makes this requirement under the authority of section 442.3 of the Insurance Act to promote high standards of business conduct.
The insurance company’s CEO or most senior officer responsible for operations in Ontario must attest that the company adheres to Ontario laws.
New provisions in 2023:
This year’s attestation includes:
- Reporting all Minor Rating and Underwriting Rule Errors for the period January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, to FSRA by February 15, 2024
The signed form must be submitted by email to [email protected] by October 31, 2023.
FSRA is reviewing this attestation process as part of its Auto Insurance Rating and Underwriting Reform Strategy.
