Areas of focus included awareness of FSRA, preferred types of communication, interaction effectiveness, the amount of Guidance and Rules, and whether we were delivering on our brand attributes; protecting consumers, being trusted and being effective. 3,544 responses were received.
In August 2021, Environics Research conducted an online consumer and industry stakeholder survey. This survey focused on expectations, experiences, and general satisfaction with FSRA. The goal was to understand the effectiveness of the transition from FSCO and DICO to FSRA and whether the regulated sectors had noticed a difference in approach and identified areas of improvement. 3,276 responses were received.
In May 2019, Pollara Strategic Insights conducted an online industry stakeholder survey on behalf of FSRA’s predecessors, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The objective of the survey was to determine the performance and engagement levels with FSCO and DICO, measure stakeholder satisfaction, and investigate barriers to engagement. The survey was conducted prior to FSRA’s launch in 2019, and helped inform the development and approach of the new regulator. There were almost 2,700 responses to the survey.
