Open Data Catalogue

Licensed Individual Adjusters and Adjusting Companies

Provides a record of all adjusters and adjusting companies who are currently registered in Ontario, or whose licence has expired within the last three months. FSRA issues licences authorizing companies to conduct business as an adjusting company. Those wishing to become adjusters must be sponsored by an adjusting company. Licences are issued for a one-year term.

Insurance Company Complaint Officers

Provides the contact information of Ontario Insurance Company Complaint Officers. The list is provided to help consumers find out who to contact with complaints about their insurers.

Licensed Insurance Companies – Fraternal Societies

Provides the contact information of all insurance companies (fraternal societies) currently licensed in Ontario, including licence class(es) and/or conditions. FSRA is responsible for licensing insurance companies in Ontario. It does not provide ratings of insurance companies or recommendations.

Licensed Insurance Companies

Provides the contact information of all insurance companies currently licensed in Ontario, including licence class(es) and/or conditions. FSRA is responsible for licensing insurance companies in Ontario. It does not provide ratings of insurance companies or recommendations.

Licensed Corporate Insurance Agencies and Partnerships

Provides a list of all corporate insurance agencies and partnerships which currently hold an active licence or whose licence has expired within the last three months. FSRA issues licences authorizing corporations and partnerships to conduct business as insurance agencies. There are two classes of agency licences: Life; and, Other than Life. Corporations may be licensed for one or both classes. A licence is issued for a two-year term.

Registered Co-operative Corporations

Provides a list of all co-operative corporations currently registered with FSRA. FSRA regulates the registration of co operative corporations under the Co-operative Corporations Act. The list includes: corporation number; incorporation date; and, mailing address of registered co-operatives. Some co-operatives may not be active, but have not formally applied to dissolve.

Licensed Mortgage Brokerages, Administrators, Mortgage Agents, and Mortgage Brokers

Allows consumers to check if a mortgage brokerage, broker or agent is licensed in Ontario. FSRA regulates the mortgage brokering sector. The list is for information purposes only. Users can search the list by registrant type: mortgage agents or brokers; mortgage brokerages; and, mortgage administrators.

Licensed Insurance Agents

Provides a listing of all agents who currently hold an active licence and, of those, whose licence has expired within the last 24 months. FSRA issues licences authorizing persons to conduct business as insurance agents. An insurance licence is issued by FSRA for a two-year term.

Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Company Officers Designated to Resolve Complaints

Provides a listing of all credit unions and caisses populaires currently registered in Ontario and the contact information of the officers designated to resolve complaints. FSRA regulates credit unions and caisses populaires under the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 2020.

Public Registry of Licensed Service Providers

FSRA maintains a public registry of licensed and formerly licensed service providers. The registry provides information on service provider facilities, licence status and conditions. As of December 1, 2014, service providers who submit OCF-21 forms through Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) must be licensed with FSRA to invoice and receive direct payment from automobile insurers for specific "listed expenses" in connection with statutory accident benefits. Statutory accident benefits claimants and auto insurers can use this registry to quickly identify service providers that are licensed and can be paid directly by insurers for listed expenses.

Registered Loan and Trust Companies

Provides a list of all loan and trust companies currently registered in Ontario. All loan and trust corporations must be federally incorporated to register with FSRA to conduct business in Ontario.

Protected Defendant Undertaking Company List

Provides a list of companies that have filed undertakings under Section 226.1 of the Insurance Act. Information is taken from the undertakings and updated to reflect changes the companies report. The owner/occupants of an automobile insured with an out-of-province insurance company that has filed the Ontario protected defendant undertaking with FSRA will be entitled to certain protections, in the event of an incident in Ontario, from liability for income loss and loss of earning capacity, health care expenses and non-pecuniary loss.

Direct Compensation - Property Damage Undertaking Company List

Provides a list of companies that have filed undertakings under Section 263 of the Insurance Act. Information is taken from the undertakings and updated to reflect changes the companies report. The owner/occupants of an automobile insured with an out-of-province insurance company that has filed the Ontario protected defendant undertaking with FSRA will be entitled to certain protections, in the event of an incident in Ontario, from liability for income loss and loss of earning capacity, health care expenses and non-pecuniary loss.

Enforcement Actions 

FSRA monitors and regulates activities within financial sectors across Ontario. FRSA determines if individuals or companies are complying with requirements and if there are potential risks to consumers. FSRA provides a list of enforcement actions of individuals and companies that are not complying with the rules.

Provides a list of registered pension plans, not related to individual pension plans or plans with fewer than five members. FSRA regulates all employer sponsored pension plans registered in Ontario. Our mandate is to promote good administration of pension plans, and to protect and safeguard the pension benefits and rights of pension plan beneficiaries under the Pension Benefits Act (PBA) and Regulations. Find a Credit Union or Caisse Populaire in Ontario

Provides a list of registered Ontario Credit Unions/Caisses Populaires. FSRA regulates credit unions and caisses populaires under the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 2020. Credit unions and caisses populaires are community based financial institutions that are owned and controlled by members who are also shareholders. Through deposit insurance, prudential oversight, and a comprehensive regulatory framework we protect Ontarians and strengthen the industry.
