The Guidance for mortgage brokerages and principal brokers sets out proposed practices to make principal brokers more effective at carrying out their responsibilities.
Antoinette Leung, Head, Financial Institutions and Mortgage Brokerage Conduct, Market Conduct at FSRA, will discuss:
- ways mortgage brokerages can ensure their principal brokers act with integrity, demonstrate professional competence, and have the necessary independence, authority and resources to perform their management roles effectively
- how principal brokers can demonstrate they are taking reasonable steps to ensure fair outcomes for consumers by hiring, effectively training and supervising suitable brokers and agents
This Guidance aligns with FSRA’s principles-based regulatory approach.
Antoinette will answer your questions and explain how to provide feedback on the Guidance to FSRA.
This webinar will be recorded and posted to FSRA’s website.
