Chair’s message about Larry Ritchie

It is with a blend of gratitude and fond reflection that we announce the retirement of Lawrence (Larry) Ritchie from the FSRA Board of Directors.

“Larry's tenure has been marked by an unparalleled dedication to excellence and a profound commitment to the financial services sector,” said Joanne De Laurentiis, Chair of the FSRA Board of Directors. “Larry's contributions have been invaluable, and his impact on the Board immeasurable.”

In 2015 Larry was appointed by the Government of Ontario to serve on a 3-person expert panel. The panel’s recommendations laid the groundwork for an enhanced financial services regulator.

In 2018, Larry continued his leadership role, joining the newly formed Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) Board of Directors and was the inaugural Chair of the Rules & Policy Committee of the Board. His leadership, vision, and wealth of experience have been instrumental in shaping our organization's trajectory.
