The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is continuing to work with those we regulate to ensure financial safety, fairness and choice for consumers and members during this time of rapid change and disruption.
FSRA is extending the deadline for life insurance companies to complete the Segregated Fund Annual Filing by 60 days after your current deadline. The extension applies to life insurers who are required to file a new segregated funds information folder by September 30, 2020. This is to provide you with the flexibility you need during this difficult time.
Insurance companies are still required to provide information folder recipients with additional disclosure outlining current material changes in risk, including market volatility due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
If you anticipate having challenges meeting your filing deadline, please submit a request to [email protected] as soon as possible. A Senior Licensing Registration Specialist will call you to discuss your situation.
